• Rate of Pay: £16.22 per hour**
• Hours/Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 05.00-13.30. Term time only.

**Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.**

What You’ll Do

• Deliver a high quality food service by following set schedules, procedures, and standards
• Monitor quality control systems, including job sign off sheets and service schedules
• Prepare and present food to the required standard every day
• Participate in daily service briefings
• Implement and follow cleaning schedules to agreed standards
• Wear the correct uniform and promote a positive company image at all times
• Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and guests
• Maintain clean, hygienic, and well organised food storage and kitchen equipment, front and back of house
• Work safely, follow the three checks for safety, and complete Near Miss cards where necessary

What You Bring

• Experience cooking on a large scale, typically serving 100 to 1300 students
• Ability to follow professional recipes with consistency
• Previous experience supervising staff or managing a small team
• Strong knowledge of fresh ingredients and preparation methods
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and the confidence to uphold them
• Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure in a fast moving kitchen
• A positive approach to leadership, professionalism, and a genuine passion for food
• Basic food handling certifications including NVQ Level 2 and Level 2 Food Safety
• At least one year of hands-on cooking experience
• Training in Food Hygiene and Health and Safety will be provided
